Monterrey will host the 32nd Mexican Foreign Trade Congress Oct. 27-29, cementing Nuevo León’s status as a top export and investment hub, COMCE announced
Themed “Made in Mexico: Quality and Global Vision,” the event expects 750+ business leaders, officials, and trade experts to discuss global supply chains, investment, and Mexico’s trade integration.
COMCE Executive President Sergio Contreras said the choice reflects northeastern Mexico’s growing role in foreign trade, driven by infrastructure, manufacturing, and U.S. border access. The region handles 41% of Mexico’s exports — $273.3B — while Nuevo León alone generates $59.1B and ranks 2nd in FDI.
COMCE Noreste President Javier Cendejas noted the state has 85 industrial parks, Mexico’s highest, with 37 more under construction. Rail, highways, and Monterrey International Airport bolster its logistics edge amid nearshoring demand.
Italy will be the guest country with a pavilion to boost bilateral trade under the updated EU-Mexico Global Agreement. Key sectors eyed: auto, machinery, food, semi-finished goods, and precious metals.
The congress will feature panels, B2B meetings, and networking on competitiveness, trade diversification, and manufacturing. A Mexico-Italy Business Forum is also set for November 2026.
